Even though November 1st started with a little rain it ended up being another successful night with an extremely fun wedding. I started my day with a meeting with a potential bride and groom in Old Town Alexandria. After the meeting my friend Ricardo and I decided to grab some coffee at a nearby coffee shop. I had a delicious expresso then we heading to the wedding at the Josephine Butler in DC.
We arrived to the Josephine Butler house in DC extremely early for set up. That gave us plenty of time to set up and get ready for the wedding.
This wedding was a little different from most weddings I’ve done. Since the couple decided not to have a traditional sit down dinner. Cocktail hour was from 6:30-8pm downstairs but the bride and groom decided to open up the doors to the reception area and invite guests early at 7:30pm. From the moment the doors opened until we ended the night the dance floor was packed.
This wedding the groom was American and the bride was from Argentina. So I made sure to please both crowds by also playing merengue, salsa, and traditional songs from Argentina.
The energy was high almost the entire night. It was really an awesome experience.
and of course I had to play the all time favorite “Shout” by the Isley Brothers
The bride’s family had traveled all the way from Argentina for the wedding.
I just had the pleasure of receiving this wonderful email from the Bride and Groom. It makes me so happy to receive emails like this. I work extremely hard to exceed my client’s expectations every single time.
