This past Monday I had the pleasure of djing at a same sex wedding.
They got married at the beautiful “Newton Mansion” in Mitchellville, Maryland. This facility has floor to ceiling windows that’s has a view of a golf course that’s both breath taking and welcoming. The couple wanted purple up lighting through out the room. I snapped a picture of the ballroom when it was still daylight and even then the lights made a huge difference in how the room looks.
The introduction of the wedding party was very unique. I played the video of the Macklemore song, “Same Love” then when the video ended I looped the chorus and introduced the newly weds. The cheering of the crowd was over powering my speakers.
All the formalities were beautiful. From the first dance, to the Hora, to the toasts and dance with the mothers.
The moment we opened the dance floor this crowd did not wait to get the party started. They danced for the next 2 hours and half non stop. I loved every minute of it.
The following day the couple sent me a beautiful email thanking and complementing me for my work. This is why I work hard for my clients. I work hard to exceed my clients expectations and make their dreams a reality.
Special thanks to Bialek’s Music for booking me for this wedding.
